UFC fighter Frank Mir did a different, non-sports tapping Friday night, as the MMA stud tapped the first keg of Maibock brew at Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas. Mir, a UFC fan favorite, is scheduled to battle Junior dos Santos for the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 146 in May.
The first barrel of Maibock is tapped at Hofbrauhaus in the last week of April amid festivities that include Jagermeister spankings and stein-holding competitions. The first German/Bavarian beer hall and restaurant in Las Vegas is a reproduction of the centuries-old Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany.
Mir follows in a line of celebrity keg tappers at Hofbrauhaus, at Paradise and Harmon, that includes Holly Madison, Siegfried & Roy, Robin Leach, Jeff Timmons, Corey Harrison and “Fantasy” at the Luxor. Thanks to Scott Harrison for his photo gallery.
