Conversation Starters: Porn props and waxing about Lance Armstrong

    • Props to porn

Gotta love Las Vegas. Now comes news that our city’s own Erotic Heritage Museum (if you haven’t been yet, shame on you!) is hosting an exhibit of the Landspeeder prop from the Star Wars-themed porn movie, Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody. The 450-pound prop is sure to spur interest among fans, and while we haven’t yet seen Axel Braun’s porn satire, we’re already willing to wager it’s better than the last three Star Wars movies combined.

    • Live strong ... or not

Too soon? Bad timing? All of the above? The Las Vegas Madame Tussauds has announced a special upcoming appearance by ... wax Lance Armstrong, the same guy who just ceded all his Tour de France titles rather than fight the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. We think it’s time to up the well-waxed ante. how about a “disgraced” Hall of Fame at Madame Tussauds featuring Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco, Ben Johnson … you get the idea.

    • Wait wait ... don't tell us

Michael Phelps, you blew it! The record-setting Olympian, as part of a “retirement” bash, partied in Las Vegas last weekend, where a rumor quickly spread that he won $100,000 at poker. Phelps promptly went to Twitter to say, “I wish I won a 100k … Haha not true tho.” While we applaud Phelps for setting the record straight, wouldn’t it have been better for Vegas’ rep had the rumor lingered just a bit longer? Think of the locals, Phelps.
