NBA Summer League | July 13, 2013 | 7:24 p.m.

It’s summer in Las Vegas, so obviously that means it’s basketball season. Vegas has become a mecca of roundball, from the nascent Desert Reign tournament to the two AAU tournaments that bring hundreds of players to town along with scouts and coaches looking for the next big player. Then there’s the NBA Summer League, essentially a 10-day interview process for players looking to take their game to the next level. It’s more interesting for me when I get to watch players I’ve covered during their UNLV careers play their first games as pros, or an athlete like Anthony Marshall, who I’ve been photographing since he was in high school.
