After shooting UNLV’s solemn locker room following the Rebels’ loss to UC Berkeley in the 2013 NCAA tournament, I figured it would be the last time I would photograph Anthony Bennett. A huge force on the floor his freshman year in college, Bennett was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013, but the pros are at a completely different level, and Bennett was not the impact player Rebel fans believed he would be. Shooting the NBA Summer League last week, I had the opportunity to photograph the Canadian prodigy again—a slimmed-down version, with a more serious demeanor and without the 18-year-old grin.
