Boss City Sounds

Genres: Alternative, Reggae, Ska
Guitarist Maxwell Cook and former bass player Freddi Cruz formed the band in late July of 2008 after they had been in a couple of ska bands together. After they found JC Madsen, drummer, the search for the singer began. Max and Kelsey met at a party by chance, and a couple weeks later he contacted her through MySpace/Youtube about the idea of a band. After a couple days of discussion and jamming, she was delighted to join the band. In the first few weeks of practice and jam sessions, Josh Kennedy joined the band as well, bringing lead guitar solos and sax. Most recently, good friend of Kennedy and Kelsey, Ryan Altschuler joined the line up playing sax and keyboard. The band is currently between bass players and will play with Cruz until April 2nd. The new bass player Chris Cline will take over the beats on April 11th in time to play the One Pin Short CD release party.
Boss City has been playing shows stably for almost four months, since December 2008. The group loves to bring traditional ska energy and sound to audiences in Las Vegas and hopes to bring the same energy to ska/reggae/rock steady fans all over the country. They’re saving up money to record a six-song EP this year hopefully by summer and hope to form a tour across the West Coast. The Sounds are currently unsigned, but would love to be.

There a bomb band. Traditional stuff that i have not heard from a local band in awhile. I have a very good feeling that their going to the top and their not going to stop until they get there. There amazing live and recorded. Check them out at their shows its completely worth it.
