Lee Scrivner, Kevin Brewer, Casey Johnson and Abe Millet began writing and recording Consolation Prizes in Las Vegas in 2001. While the album was being mixed, Millett left to form his own project. Seeking a replacement drummer, the band was briefly joined by Ronnie Vannucci Jr. mere weeks before he joined The Killers. Consolation Prizes was released in 2002 to critical acclaim. After recruiting Sinnott, they released Nevertheless in the summer of 2005. Though Scrivner relocated to London after the release of Nevertheless to pursue a doctorate at the University of London’s London Consortium, the band continued to write and release material. They recently recorded their third full-length album in a Las Vegas studio, to be released in 2008.
