Itchy Choad is comprised of four members of the US Air Force stationed at Nellis AFB. They formed in a garage in 2006 with Mike "Itchy" Richards and Russ"Sausage" Link. After working on mostly acoustic songs, they brought in the shredding styling of Bill "Higgy Bear" Higginbotham in early '07 and started expanding to some heavier styles. Many of the newer tunes are reflections of military sacrifices and the price paid by the troops who volunteer to keep America safe, such as "Battle Scars". Chris "Don't Miss" Horton came on board in mid-07 and the group skyrocketed from the garage to entertaining hundreds at local venues. The name? It was originally Creative Heroes on Active Duty (C.H.O.A.D.). One night it became crossed with the singer's nickname and Itchy Choad just kind of stuck.
