Leaving Springfield

Genre: Rock

Leaving Springfield is a two piece rock band from Las Vegas formed by veterans of the local music scene. The nucleus of the band, drummer Matt Norcross and guitarist Brent Kessler, met several years ago but never shared a stage together until Brent was asked to join Matt's band, Now That We're Famous, for a number of shows. A few months after Famous’ final show, Brent and Matt’s paths crossed again and the combination proved to be a good thing. Leaving Springfield mixes the raw rock elements of bands like the Replacements and Cheap Trick, while still providing the pop hooks of Fountains of Wayne and Weezer. Leaving Springfield breathes a much deserved breath of fresh air into today’s music.
