In the summer of 2007, Quint Olsen was playing in the punk-rock band that is now known as The Lurks... but he was also itching to return to his roots and play some western music. Like Mike Ness and Eddie Spaghetti-- two front men of big punk rock bands who found success with a "country" side project, Quint decided to assemble some renegades and desperadoes and play some whiskey tinged, high-lonesome outlaw country for the masses. He found Jonny and Thom, of local psychobilly band Jaxy and the Three 57's, and local musician extraordinaire Gene, and The Calamity was born-- the sound track to your beer swillin', barroom brawlin' Saturday nights!
