It all started in Las Vegas. Or did it? Yes, Brandon Flowers was born here in the desert to a devout Mormon family. The beginning. After being ditched by his former band, Blush Response, Flowers answered an ad in Las Vegas Weekly posted by future Killers guitarist David Keuning. The meeting. Soon Ronnie Vannucci and Mark Stroermer had joined the band, and foursome began playing gigs, developing a style that pulled from '80s punk but modernized it for today's audience.
The Killers released their first album Hot Fuss in 2004 and watched it rocket up the charts, eventually going 4x platinum. In 2006 they followed it up with Sam's Town, which debuted at number two on the Billboard chart. Most recently The Killers released Sawdust, a compilation album of B-sides and some new material.
