Jesse & Shaun have been playing together since the late '90s when they were too young to go into bars. When the '50s rock & roll band they were in called the Devells broke up in 2000, they decided to try an instrumental project. Various different drummers came and went through the years. In 2004 Szandora joined the group as a Hoola Hoop go go dancer.

- Current status
- Thee Swank Bastards are always performing, recording and touring, averaging about 3 shows per month. Among other local bars, we try to play the Double Down at least once per month and try to get out of town 6-8 times per year. Over the summer we will play Chicago in June, San Francisco and Portland in July and in August will be one of the bands on the Tiki Oasis 9 festival in San Diego. We just finished recording and will soon be releasing two new albums. One is an albums of originals called High Tides. The other is all instrumental Black Sabbath. Both will be released before the summer.
