The Details
- Origin India Benefit Cocktail Party
Origin India will host a Give the Gift of Happy Summer Memories cocktail party to benefit Camp K’helah children on Thursday, May 3, starting at 6:30 p.m. The $25 price includes a specialty cocktail from the Origin India bar—perhaps the Spicy Mohabat, with cinnamon, ginger and Absolut, or maybe just a Krait Prestige champagne lager?—and heavy hors d’oeuvres from the kitchen.
All party proceeds go to the Camp K’helah fund, established by the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada to provide fun and educational camp experiences to local kids without access. This event is another in a long stretch of charitable endeavors for Origin India, which has donated thousands of dollars to Share Our Strength, Create A Change Now, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation and disaster relief efforts in Japan, Pakistan and Burma. Restaurant owner Raja Majid has been honored twice with the Nevada Restaurant Association’s Good Neighbor Award.
