There’s something about Create

By Rick Lax

All this goodness for under $4? Oh. Hell. Yea.

I watch about two hours of TV every day, and I eat at Create Burger three or four days a week. This year, my New Year’s Resolution was this: Watch more TV, and eat at Create Burger more often.

You already know how awesome TV is, so let me tell you about how awesome Create is:

Feel the love: Create Burger.

Feel the love: Create Burger.

See that burger above? It’s got roasted red pepper, grilled onions, red onion, iceberg/romaine blend, sprouts, cucumber, carrots, and Grey Poupon on it. Know how much it cost me? $3.90, after tax.

I’m sorry, but you just can’t beat that.

The trick is not getting suckered into ordering fries or custard. Those foods have little to no nutritional value (fries=little, custard=no), and will up your bill. The same goes for TV; the trick is to watch Lost, Glee, The Daily Show, and Iron Chef without getting sucked into Deal or No Deal.

So if you’ve got a little self-discipline and four bucks, head to 7290 West Lake Mead Blvd, and tell them “Ricky sent you.”

They’ll have no idea what you’re talking about, but do it just the same.

that's quite a deal. is the food as good as it looks? i'd like to say what's up to that oaty bun.

Hi Jubilee, I'm actually heading there in 5 min. Yes, the food is as good as it looks. The only trouble is, there's so many topping/sauce options, sometimes I make bad combination decisions. Like last week I tried feta with A1, and that was an error. Also, I wasn't as crazy about the Turkey Burger as I thought I'd be...but I'm just nitpicking. Overall it's wonderful. But, yeah, I'd stick to the Modest Burger (which is still pretty big size), and then fancy it up. I hope this place goes franchise because it's kinda far from my house, is the thing....

Its about a 30 minute drive from the side of town im from.(eastside/trop). Well worth the venture over. Lanxe the owner is not only sociable, but friendly. Keeps his staff as enthusiastic as himself. Which is rare in today's economy. Alot of morale is shoddy.

Ive tried about everything, from fries(sweet potato rocks!), the custard is sub-par, and the burgers are cooked thoroughly, seemingly stacked toppings to perfection. Very little mess makes it to the plate, unless you got the green chilies or a runny sauce.

Really is a great place to dine for lunch/dinner.

My fail sandwich would had to be, turkey on hawaiin roll, with teriyaki, feta cheese, lettuce and sprouts. I ate but never again. Their teriyaki sauce isnt so great to boot. Though, combinations are endless.
