Insert Coins, the new video game bar on East Fremont, is wholly different from every other bar and club in Las Vegas. And here is why: It’s the one place in the city where nobody is looking to get laid. And it’s incredibly refreshing in that respect.

Let’s be real, you’re not going to freakdance to the techno version of the Zelda theme. Street Fighter II is no aphrodisiac—it’s whatever the opposite of an aphrodisiac is.

Last night, at the Insert Coins opening, I played Street Fighter II. I wanted to see if I was as good as I remembered being.

I was better. Nobody could beat me—and there were some serious gamers there.

And then I went home alone.
