The Other Mafia

By Rick Lax

Townspeople...go to sleep.

Playing Mafia is my #1 favorite thing to do in the world. But not that Mafia. Not Mafia Wars. Never played that game. This one is different….

It was invented at the Moscow State University’s Psychology department in the 80s, as a teaching tool. It was popularized on Latvian TV and then brought to Princeton University.

Now, it’s making its way to Las Vegas.

I won’t try to describe the game to you. Because it sounds confusing, un-fun, and pointless.

It’s anything but—I promise.

So if somebody invites you to play Mafia, I urge you to go. You’ll thank me later.
