Donny & Marie, far from finished at Flamingo
The Flamingo has it covered -- or is about to -- for the upcoming Donny & Marie show.

Some moments on the Strip must be recorded, and so we post this photo that really needs no explanation.
Wait. Yes it does.
As of a couple of hours ago, this is the 25-percent completed Donny & Marie building wrap (and it is not often that “wrap” and “Donny & Marie share the same sentence, unless you are talking about hotel signage) going up at the Flamingo. It is to be finished by the end of the month to promote the famous sibling act that will headline at the hotel beginning Sept. 9. The hotel has announced that Donny & Marie will star in a variety show on Tuesdays through Saturdays for 26 weeks over eight months.
The space is fairly famous as the home of a similarly gigantic visage of Toni Braxton, which scowled sexily over the Strip for a couple of years before it was peeled away last month. Another wrap star, comic magician Nathan Burton, is pasted to the Flamingo tower just to the north of the Donny & Marie sign. One note: You see an Amazing Johnathan sign atop a taxi cab rolling in front of the building. Coincidence. A.J. has nothing to do with the Donny & Marie show.
