Hilton take might have been $500,000
According to one published report, a pair of thieves who robbed the Las Vegas Hilton this morning just after 6 a.m. might have made of with $500,000. KLAS Channel 8 has reported that figure, citing unnamed sources, but hotel spokesman Ira David Sternberg could not confirm the amount, only that the crime did take place this morning. "We're deferring all official word on this to Metro," Sternberg said. An update was expected later today. The sports book was closed early this morning, but this afternoon has re-opened as the investigation proceeds.
