A slew of celebrities walked the red carpet at the 13th Annual Keep Memory Alive Power of Love gala at the Bellagio to benefit the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Brain Institute. CineVegas and Brenden Theatres bring indie film to a studio city

If a film series’ name determines its success, the awkwardly named CineVegas Presents at the Brenden may not have much of a chance. But if a series is judged on its artistic offerings, CineVegas’ new program may be a ray of cultural hope in the increasingly bleak local landscape. Victim of economy, Las Vegas Art Museum will close next week

The Las Vegas Art Museum, Southern Nevada’s first fine-arts museum and one of the city’s cultural mainstays since 1950, has become the latest victim of a disastrous economy. Museum spokeswoman Anne Kellogg said the final day of exhibitions will be February 28.
