We could tell you exactly the mix of emotions that Michael Jackson’s death at an LA hospital today after suffering cardiac arrest has wrought upon us, but we’d rather let you do the talking.

We turned to our most reputable cultural thermometers – Facebook and Twitter – to gauge how you’re feeling about the passing of Las Vegas resident the King of Pop. Here, unedited, are selections from the fray:

- I know everyone will have something about MJ on here, but seriously that is SO incredibly sad...

- Upsetting to think there are now 3 beautiful children with out a father. RIP Michael Jackson. You were loved by millions.

- finds in odd that the world is this sad for someone they've been stringing up for years.

- I miss you MJ... you were my first CD :(

- Michael Jackson was weird, but the man knew how to make some music. Off the Wall and Thriller are two of the best albums i've ever heard. RIP.

MJ DEATH IS TRAGIC, HOWEVER, WHAT IS EVEN MORE TRAGIC MICHAEL DID NOT RECEIVE CHRIST AS HIS PERSONAL SAVIOR AND NOW IT IS TOO LATE.

GOD HAD GIVEN MICHAEL MANY GIFTS AND TALENTS AND FOR THAT I AM THANKFUL.

I WILL BE PRAYING FOR HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY

Apparently Michael was delayed at the hospital as he had no medical insurance and the hospital refused to take plastic
