Maybe what's behind Door No. 2 is a spare voice for Wayne Brady.
For the second time since the ace improv comic began hosting "Let's Make a Deal," Brady has called off a set of dates to protect his vocal chords. In a news release issued today, Brady announced that "Making It Up," his highly regarded stage show at The Venetian, would be postponed until next year. No dates were specified.
Brady is under contract with the hotel through the end of 2010, the postponed dates adding to a commitment that originally stretched through August. Brady had called off his October dates just as taping for the CBS game show started last month. His physicians have reportedly advised him to rest his voice before he returns to live performance.
“I love doing my show at The Venetian so much, it is a true disappointment to have to cancel these performances of 'Making It Up,' ” Brady said in today's news release. “But it is my hope that this doctor-ordered rest will allow me to come back to The Venetian in the New Year with the multi-dimensional show that audiences have grown to love.”
As the release states, exchanges and refunds for the rescheduled performances will be available at point of purchase. Customers can call The Venetian Box Office at (702) 414-9000 or (866) 641-7469 with questions.
