*It's worth the 25-minute drive down the I-15 to catch Hootie & The Blowfish at the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm Valley on the stateline border.

*Just where do these names come from? Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango are the double-act at the Sunset Station casino.

*Actress Anna Faris who actually looks like the Playboy bunny she plays in her new movie released this week is the host of her celebration party at the Prive nightclub at Planet Hollywood.

* “How much love” do you have to share with Survivor? The group is making a special appearance at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.
