Is Peaches’ marriage already the pits?
By Robin Leach
Peaches Geldof, the 19-year-old, free-spirited daughter of rock giant Bob Geldof is already “apart” from new husband Max Drummey who she married just days ago in a runaway Vegas wedding chapel ceremony. It doesn’t spell an immediate breakup, but it’s the couple’s cute coy plan to avoid an immediate confrontation with her father. Musician Max is the 25-year-old leader of the Chester French band duo, and while he’s on a debut road tour by bus in Britain he sent the “new bride” off to a beach in Majorca, Spain. This weekend, because of all the headline coverage of their Vegas wedding and subsequent fallout, he sold out their London independent band premiere appearance. Multi-instrumentalist Max, who started the pop-rock team in his freshman year at Harvard, was said to be terrified at having to meet his new father-in-law, but the duo’s press statement welcomed all the press coverage as, “a great marketing angle.” Bob, himself, is reported to be “angry and upset” with the Vegas nuptials.
