Strip Scribbles: Federline reunites with ex (Shar, not Britney); Hootie and the Blowfish experience ups and downs

*Sincere thanks to all the Strip performers who penned guest columns for me while I was away in Europe the past two weeks. I logged on daily to check them out and found every one fascinating, informative and entertaining -- and learned things I never knew before! I trust you enjoyed all of them as much as I did. Now its time to get back to the big “scoops” and exclusives and prepare for this weekend’s huge Labor Day celebrations.
*Hopefully Britney Spears is fully over him because separated husband, Kevin Federline, was reunited with his previous lovemate Shar Jackson during their weekend Vegas romp for her birthday celebration. K-Fed and Shar had two children from their relationship and for the record he has two sons from his marriage to Britney! Busy boy! At Tao Beach in the Venetian, Kevin invited Shar to a real family affair in his private cabana with his parents and brother Chris plus her brother and parents! The entire party enjoyed Kobe beef burgers and TAO Beach signature cocktails. Fed-Ex also showed up briefly with a six-pack entourage for his usual Jack Daniels and Coke and Patron tequila shots for a brief time at Tao nightclub. Shar went onto celebrate her birthday at the Blush boutique nightclub in the Wynn, where lead Chippendales' crooner Bryan Cheatham fed her one of the many cupcakes in the birthday pyramid from the Cupcakery. Then late-night Kevin and Shar wound-up together in the early hours at Prive nightclub in the Planet Hollywood. They partied at Prive's exclusive Table 69 from midnight until 3:30 a.m., when K-Fed went into the club's DJ booth and publicly wished Shar a happy birthday. She joined him in the DJ booth, where he sang along on the microphone to her with the lyrics of “Put On” by Young Jeezy and “Welcome to Jamrock” by Damien Marley. Watching the birthday fun at Prive were Sunset Tan's hot couple Nick and Ania.
*It wasn’t just one helluva ride -- it was 10 in a row! Hootie and The Blowfish band members loved the thrill of the 225-foot drop down on the 55-degree descent of the Desperado roller coaster at Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino they followed with nine more consecutive rides! The group played weekend concerts there 25 minutes from the Strip on the stateline border in Primm.
Elle Macpherson and the cast of Stomp at Planet Hollywood
*Supermodel and actress Elle Macpherson stepped off the runway and onto the stage to visit with the cast of Stomp Out Loud at Planet Hollywood. Next night the awesome Aussie and her family enjoyed Mystère by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island. They took their seats in the lower center section just as the show began and snacked on popcorn and caramel corn.
*By coincidence, boxing champions Mike Tyson and Ricky Hatton were partying out and about around town -- and narrowly missed each other at rival nightclubs. Ricky “The Hitman’ showed at the LAX party in the Luxor with showman Jeff Beacher for DJ Vice’s turntable trip, while “Iron Mike” was with a group of friends at the Tao nightclub in the Venetian for the Worship party. Next night the British bruiser turned tables and joined friends at PURE in Caesars Palace for Dom Perignon champagne -- and he turned up there at the weekend for a second consecutive night, alternating the champagne with Grey Goose cocktails. (Just asking- Isn’t he fighting another championship bout in November?) At both LAX and Pure, Antoine Walker of the Memphis Grizzlies by coincidence was seated just a table away from the English fighter. Back at LAX, model beauty and former George Clooney galpal Sarah Larson enjoyed Veuve Cliquot champagne with a group of galpals at a VIP mainstage table. This time, however, it was Mixed Martial Arts fighter Frank Mir who kept an eye on the beauties!
Sarah Larson, left, with friends at LAX.
*Congratulations to former Caesars Palace and Luxor chef Bryan Ogden on the weekend opening of his much-anticipated new fresh-produce Apple Restaurant in West Hollywood. Bryan, son of renowned chef and restaurateur Bradley Ogden, serves up seasonally driven American contemporary cuisine with sustainable and organic ingredients. The youngest chef of the first family of food has worked with such Vegas star chefs as Charlie Trotter, Michael Mina and Guy Savoy. His master sommelier is Mark Heftner, formerly with the Le Cirque and Osteria del Circo restaurants at the Bellagio.
*From our Star Surveillance file: singer James Blunt arrived at Tao nightclub in the Venetian after his weekend Planet Hollywood concert (CLICK HERE for our souvenir photo album from his Sheryl Crow performance) with four friends enjoying Grey Goose vodka cocktails at their VIP table on the dance floor ... Several stunning members of the Toronto Argonauts curvy cheerleading team surrounded Vegas hometown hero Paul Pierce of the NBA winning Boston Celtics when he held court at a dance-floor VIP table in Tryst at the Wynn. Also there were retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather of Dancing with the Stars fame; Memphis Grizzlies forward Antoine Walker, Golden State Warriors small forward Corey Maggette, UFC President Dana White and actor Mario Lopez, former star of Saved by the Bell and current host of hit MTV show America's Best Dance Crew, with several friends at a VIP table …. Meanwhile, down at Drai's After Hours club inside Bill’s Gamblin' Hall at center Strip, members of Oscar-winning rap group Three Six Mafia, Death Row Records founder Suge Knight; Girls Next Door star Bridget Marquardt and former boxing champion Mike Tyson … TV talk-show host Montel Williams held the winning cards for poker inside the Hard Rock Hotel’s new Poker Lounge … Over at Ghostbar in the Palms, former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach partied in advance of his appearance with Poison in the Pearl Theater there … Marquardt wrapped up a long night partying around town giving two friends a 2 a.m. tour of the Playboy Club at the Palms.
