Our merry mayor of mirth, Oscar Goodman, will be guest of honor when he opens the new 12-21 bar at Morton’s Steakhouse at 5:30 p.m.

General manager Daniel Hurst will present the mayor with his very own personalized wine locker and he’ll unveil a new Oscartini martini! Members of our Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony -- and of course a couple of free drinks! ... Our colleagues at Vegas Magazine will be joined by September cover model, Entourage and Righteous Kill actress Carla Gugino, along with her co-star, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and beautiful 27 Dresses star Malin Akerman at Tao’s new LAVO nightclub and restaurant in the Palazzo ... Comedy cutup Allan Havey with Bruno Lucia and David Gee keep the anniversary celebrations at The Improv rocking along in high gear in Harrah’s as they kick off a six-night run ... rock-club owner Corey Hart presents a live performance by Neon Trees at his Wasted Space lounge in the Hard Rock and adult actress Jesse Jane hosts a sexy party at the Cathouse in the Luxor with the lingerie-clad Coquettes!

America’s possible next vice president, Gov. Mitt Romney, spends the day in Vegas as Nicky Hilton and Justin Timberlake play politics in rival camps for their MAGIC fashion show parties. Our favorite hometown rocker, Vince Neil, is headed to Moscow to sing for his borscht, plus we’ll meet an anonymous high-roller who wants to play Robin Hood with his megabuck casino winnings, and go "wonderground" with mysterious magician Jeff McBride’s brand new illusions and close-up sleight of hand ultra lounge.
