Dancing odds reveal who’s on top, who’s likely to get booted

By Robin Leach

Johnny Avello, director of the race and sports book at Wynn Las Vegas, has released his odds for the new season of Dancing with the Stars, starting in September. (Click here for our Luxe Life photo coverage yesterday as rehearsals got underway.) I have to officially advise that these odds are for entertainment purposes only and are not wagered on.

Expect ribald roastmaster, fanged funnyman Jeffery Ross and veteran actress Cloris Leachman to be dispatched at high speed because Avello only gives them a 50-1 and 40-1 chance, respectively. Then, it's Warren Sapp 30-1, Ted McGinley 25-1, Misty May Treanor 22-1, Susan Lucci 20-1, Maurice Greene 15-1, Pure nightclub regular Kim Kardashian 12-1, Rocco diSpirito 10-1, Vegas headliner Toni Braxton 8-1, Brooke Burke 7-1, Strip scenester Lance Bass 5-1 and Hannah Montana's Cody Linley at 4-1. For the first time I think Johnny is way off base with some of his picks, so I fully expect him to readjust the line after the Sept. 22 ABC-TV show’s three-night premiere. Be assured we’ll post his new odds as soon as he does!

With more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, Avello’s predictions are derived from a combination of odds-making formulas, researching and reading, and networking with people in the business and community. Created for entertainment purposes only, his television-show odds are continually featured on numerous television and radio programs including, "Extra," "Good Morning America" and E! Entertainment’s "Daily Ten."
