Entourage actress, Covergirl model opens Palazzo nightclub
By Robin Leach
Gorgeous Entourage actress Carla Gugino helped the owners of Tao from the Venetian softly open their new Lavo nightlife venture in the Palazzo. She was joined by fellow Entourage actress Emmanuelle Chiquiri and their friend, beautiful 27 Dresses star Malin Akerman. Comedian David Spade was also dining there on the first night just a table away from mine.
Our colleagues from VEGAS magazine, president Michael Carr and publisher Alison Miller were on the red carpet with Carla as she signed a blowup copy of her September magazine cover photo. She also stars as a tough-as-nails crime scene investigator in Righteous Kills filming alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The 37-year-old brunette has been acting since she was just 15 years old.

Lavo is a stunning, incredible nightlife venue featuring a huge bar, restaurant and an intimate nightclub lounge. Tao’s owners have decorated its Moroccan-European theme with authentic furnishings from Marrakech -- but you sit at chairs rather than lie down sprawled out on floor cushions. The menu of Moroccan and Mediterranean is designed for sharing with friends and food arrives at the table continuously throughout the meal rather than as individual starter and main courses.
More on that next week after we fully explore all the fabulous furnishings that the owners picked up on their North Africa shopping sprees. Meantime, our eye caught the attractive models who provocatively pose in the bathtubs scattered around the regal rooms -- after all, Lavo is all about the art of washing.
However, it's not the ever-flowing sinks used as decoration or the bathtub beauties that will be the main draw. The attractive venue boasts a unique extra-large Strip front patio for outdoor dining seating 160 people -- perfect as our hot weather cools down going into the fall. The official grand opening is Sept. 13, but before then we’ll take a private tour and share all of its excitement with you. Check it out now before the rest of the world beats a path to Lavo’s doors!
