You could call it blood-thirsty and blood-curdling, but that’s the TV series and not the party antics of the stars of HBO’s True Blood. To celebrate the finale of the first season of vampire shows, the cast descended into the Dracula dark of Las Vegas over the weekend.

Relax, True Blood fans: The series about the co-existence of vampires and humans in a small Louisiana town, based on the book series Southern Vampire Mysteries, has been renewed for a sophomore season.

The Vegas vampire visit also was to celebrate the birthday of actress and co-star Kristin Bauer. However, it all began with actor Ryan Kwanten, who plays the ever-shirtless Jason on the show. He did keep his shirt on this time to host the first night’s excitement at the hot Prive nightclub in Planet Hollywood.

He arrived appropriately at the stroke of midnight and stayed until 3 a.m. He was at a VIP table with friends drinking Snow Queen vodka with mixers, and numerous female fans went over to his table hoping to get their necks bitten, oh, I’m sorry, to meet him.

Ryan returned to the club for a second night to help co-star Kristin celebrate her birthday alongside fellow True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard, although they arrived separately. After Kristin blew out the candles on her cake, the actors curiously all went their separate ways inside the club.

They might work together, but they didn’t play together! She sipped Veuve Clicquot champagne in the DJ booth for most of the night while Ryan returned to his special VIP banquette. After dining at the Strip House there, Alexander took his own booth and stuck to Heineken for the remainder of the celebration.
