NFR and Miss Rodeo America sashay into Vegas

It’s the 50th anniversary of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this year! The cowboys and cowgirls have taken over our town, and Las Vegas has gone “country.” Look for our full report of the nearly two-week-long celebration elsewhere on Vegas DeLuxe today.
In advance of Saturday morning's coronation of the 2009 Miss Rodeo America at The Orleans, the 26 contestants took part in a victory varsity cowgirls fashion show there last night. This isn't about high heels, ballgowns or swimsuits. This is about boots and spurs!
Our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue captured this sensational set of shots, which also features the current reigning 2008 Miss Rodeo America Amy Wilson -- along with the Las Vegas Outlaws cheerleaders and the No. 1 rope artist in the world, Tomas Garcilazo.
