Strip Scribbles: Chippendales dancers take it off for Ellen DeGeneres

By Robin Leach

The Chippendales dancers appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

They are the hunks who turn on all the ladies, and when the Chippendales dancers from The Rio here paid talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres a visit, they didn’t hesitate to strip down to their skivvies! Our good-looking guys sent the female audience into hysterics -- and even Ellen herself fell for the sexy dance moves and gyrations!

*All 27 participants in the Miss Rodeo America pageant visited the headquarters of our beloved Opportunity Village charity to meet the clients and learn about its mission. They toured the work center to learn firsthand about the programs and services. Chefs from Memphis Championship Barbecue hosted a special lunch, and then the contestants toured the Holiday Magical Forest, rode the carousel and went down the Alpine slide.

*Marathon memories: I didn’t have time or space yesterday with all the photo reports to tell you my favorite moment from our marathon early Sunday morning. I actually saw one female runner in the half-course challenge wearing 5-inch high heels! The Russian-born showgirl told me the heels didn’t cause any problems, and next year she plans to run the course in a lingerie ensemble to attract even more attention!

These heels were made for walking.

*Congratulations to Venetian headliner comedian Wayne Brady on his Grammy Award nomination! He celebrated with a group of 20 friends and family at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT steakhouse inside the Palazzo. The kitchen chefs sent out a special dessert that read “Congrats on the Grammy.”

*Ooh! La! La! The sexy, sassy sirens of MGM Grand’s Crazy Horse Paris topless revue start their two-week annual vacation as of tonight, so while they are dark, you wont be able to watch their sensual striptease until their return on Christmas Eve. Crazy Horse began life back in 1951 in Paris and has been a worldwide phenomenon ever since with its beautiful bodies!

*A caravan of employees from Victor Drai’s Tryst nightclub at the Wynn will descend upon Walmart at 10 a.m. tomorrow in our Spring Valley area to spend nearly $20,000 on toys to donate to the KLUC radio holiday toy drive. The servers, VIP hosts and staff have donated nearly $10,000, and owner Victor says he’ll make a matching contribution! They expect to spend two hours shopping before getting a Metro police escort to the KLUC toy drive site. “We’re going to do all we can to brighten the lives of many families who struggle to provide gifts for their children at a time when our economy is in trouble,” said Jeremy Pond, Tryst’s PR whiz.

*Iron Chef Kerry Simon and Palms hotel owner George Maloof have decreed you can “keep your pajamas on” when you go to his Simon steakhouse at Palms Place for brunch on New Year’s Day! The six-hour brunch comes complete with its own Bloody Mary bar and an Antioxidant Station to cure those countdown hangovers. But the greatest thing is you can roll out of bed, stay in your pj’s, crawl to brunch and, when feeling human again, hop right back into bed without changing!

Tonight’s tip

Mayor Oscar Goodman flips the switch at the 6 p.m. tree lighting ceremony at the Freemont Street Experience. It’s our official 50-foot-tall Christmas tree. Right after the ceremony, the Holiday Lights on Ice skating show will debut on the 1st Street stage beneath the 12.5 million lights of the Viva Vision screen. I’m reliably told that Santa Claus will make a special appearance! … Hip-hop artist Coolio will join the BeatClan of DJs Hollywood and Ikon for a nonstop night of turntable madness at Pure inside Caesars Palace. … Over at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Hotel, there’s a CSS performance with Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head (yes, that is a rock band and not an actress’s reinterpretation of a Britney Spears incident!). … Six Degrees magazine throws itself a issue release party at Moon in the Palms. … Actor-comedian Mark Curry, who starred for five years on Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper and hosted Showtime at the Apollo, kicks off a six-night run of comedy shows with Jeff Burghart and Jim McCue at the Improv at Harrah’s.

Future parents Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson, posing in front of ... which Vegas hotspot, readers?

Tomorrow’s tease

We should have the superstar lineup of the live stage concert for the third live TV broadcast from the Strip on New Year’s Eve. … Our hometown former porn queen Jenna Jameson has a legitimate movie all lined up with Verne J. Troyer after the birth of her twins. … Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere takes us along on a super-shopping spree at the Palazzo. … And we join Siegfried, Lance Burton and Mac King at a private magicians’ salute to legendary veteran “Mr. Electric,” who opened the old Lido de Paris show here on the Strip at the now-imploded Stardust.
