It’s unlike any other McDonald’s in the world! On opening day of the new Viva McDonalds’ right on the Strip, our merry Mayor of Mirth Oscar Goodman joined with Ronald McDonald and Harrah’s magician headliner Mac King -- what an appropriate name! -- for the red ribbon ceremonies!

Oscar presented a key to the city to Ronald, who turned right round and gifted the mayor with an autographed red shoe!

Ronald drove down the Strip in an open red Cadillac to the front doors and gave the first 111 guests waiting in line gift bundles of T-shirts, yard-long cups and gift cards. Comedy magician Mac went behind the counter for the first hour serving up food -- with all his sales donated to the Greater Las Vegas Ronald McDonald House. He performed tricks for customers as an Elvis impersonator serenaded the lines with Presley hits from the past.

The new Viva McDonald’s is the first in the world with Wi-Fi and its own McTV channel that plays Discovery Channel shorts on a circular, overhead media center of TV screens. Click HERE for our previous coverage.
