Top managers of Major League Baseball teamed up while they were visiting Las Vegas for the MLB winter meetings to “Strike Out Cancer” at a benefit reception for our Nevada Cancer Institute.

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa joined with his friend Las Vegas businessman Jim Hammer to organize the event held at Fix in the Bellagio.

It was an all-star turnout of MLB heroes including Joe Girardi of The New York Yankees, Jim Leyland of The Detroit Tigers, Ozzie Guillen of The Chicago White Sox, Bruce Bochy of The San Francisco Giants, Dusty Baker of The Cincinnati Reds, Bobby Cox of The Atlanta Braves, Lou Piniella of The Chicago Cubs and Dave Trembley of The Baltimore Orioles.
