Mamma Mia! star has a new gig in Las Vegas

Gorgeous New York singer-actress Carol Linnea Johnson isn’t going back East when the curtain comes down on her role as independent single mother Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! at Mandalay Bay.

Instead of returning home after the show closes Jan. 4, Carol believes her future lies here in Las Vegas -- so she’s staying put. She has her family all moved into a new home, and she’s already found a new gig.

Carol has joined up with musicians from a number of different Strip shows as the new lead vocalist of the band Hot Club. They kicked off the release of their debut CD with a performance at the Vox Lounge in Henderson playing to a capacity crowd of musicians and performers from all over the Strip.

“It was a great start to what, we hope, will be a successful venture,” Carol told me. “It was a great night to celebrate, and everybody loved our unique sound and gypsy-styled music.” You can buy the CD or download it at www.CDBaby.com.
