Photo Gallery: Nine Inch Nails’ (sort of) farewell performance

It’s a misleading headline, but deliberately so. Nine Inch Nails is continuing onwards, but two members of the group amicably left after their concert at Planet Hollywood. Two new musicians will replace them for their next tour Down Under in February throughout Australia.

Our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was front row center for this unique set of close-up photos with intense lead singer Trent Reznor. He and the group performed several tracks from their 2007 concept CD Year Zero.

It also was apparently the last time their astonishing multi-media lighting and laser LED show will be seen on tour, and Trent says he’s going to keep the stealth screens as a souvenir at his home. Since their last tour back in 2005, Nine Inch Nails has released three studio albums including The Slip and Ghosts I-IV.
