Daughtry, David Cook, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Scott Weiland join Robbie Knievel NYE special on the Strip

It won’t be just the roar of the engine with stunt king Robbie Knievel jumping The Mirage volcano on New Year’s Eve. Now I’m hearing that there will be the wailing of rock music, too!

Two American Idol favorites will join the action. Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform with Scott Weiland, along with Idol’s Chris Daughtry and his band and singer David Cook, the winner of Season 7!

The show will be hosted by Spike Feresten from Talk Show and Mark Thompson from Hole in the Wall. In addition to the jump and the music, there will be behind-the-scenes looks at three Cirque du Soleil shows.

The cameras will show the sexy of Zumanity, the genius of The Beatles at Love in The Mirage and the Mindfreak magic of Criss Angel at his Luxor Believe show.
