The 4th is boom time in Vegas

By Robin Leach

Our Strip skyline will be lit up in red, white and blue tomorrow –- and one fireworks display by the renowned Grucci New York family is being billed as the biggest show west of the Mississippi. Lights over Vegas will be a 9-minute long celebrating America’s 232nd birthday and will be coordinated from six Station Casino properties: Red Rock, Green Valley, Texas Station, Fiesta Ranch, Sunset Station and Santa Fe Station. It’s taken Grucci 60 hours to choreograph the dazzling display and 320 hours to set it all up. The lumber took the equivalent of the siding for an average family home just to build the support structures for the fireworks themselves. The fireworks have been choreographed to music by everybody from Jimi Hendrix to Frank Sinatra and James Brown, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp. Add the fireworks on the beach at Mandalay Bay and wherever you are in the valley you will be able to watch the amazing and extraordinary spectacular.
