Paris, Pamela duke it out for holiday headlines

Paris Hilton and boyfriend Benji Madden will be poolside at the Hard Rock this weekend.

A phalanx of paparazzi photographers from New York and Los Angeles, along with a contingent of celebrity correspondents, is invading Vegas this holiday weekend. They’re here in the hope of headlines when the spotlight falls on two blond beauties who will be rivals for attention.

Paris Hilton will be at the Hard Rock for boyfriend Benji Madden’s Good Charlotte poolside concert. Actress-model and former Vegas showgirl Pamela Anderson will celebrate her birthday at the LAX nightclub in the Luxor.

Add the possible appearance of actress Lindsay Lohan alongside her DJ friend Samantha Ronson and you’ve got the perfect storm for the guerilla gossip gang. Incidentally, Lindsay is also celebrating her birthday this weekend -- but fortunately, that’s going to be in Los Angeles, although Lindsay is expected to commute back and forth with Samantha’s two weekend DJ gigs here.
