Sly Stallone celebrates at Planet Hollywood ceremony

By Robin Leach

Sylvester Stallone celebrates the new Planet Hollywood Towers with owner David Siegel and Planet Hollywood chairman Robert Earl.

Movie superstar Sylvester Stallone helped celebrate last night's ceremony for the "topping off" of the new Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate timeshare vacation resort. He's seen in our Luxe Life photo, fists proudly held high with owner David Siegel and Planet Hollywood chairman Robert Earl in the background. Country singer Lee Greenwood sang "God Bless America" as a giant 50-square-feet American flag was hoisted to the top of the building.

Planet Hollywood Towers is the largest shared vacation ownership resort ever built in Vegas. It is located on Harmon Avenue directly alongside the driveway ramps of the Planet Hollywood casino-resort. David Siegel operates one of the largest timeshare companies in the United States under the name of Westgate and has several smaller residential resort quarters here in Vegas. This is his first venture on the Strip.

He and Robert Earl are neighbors in Orlando, Fla., where both are headquartered -- and the Planet Hollywood casino facility will provide all facilities and services for all timeshare owners in the new PH Westgate tower.

The fractional ownership units have sold more quickly than expected, the owners said.
