-- American Idol finalist Brooke White had missed out on a prior trip to the Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage –- so she was determined when the 2008 AI tour came through Vegas it wasn’t going to happen again. Sure enough it happened and she got to spend some quality time with the dolphins at the Habitat.
-- Love the line magician Lance Burton used on The View co-host Barbara Walters after he’d sawn her in half to wrap the Caesars Palace live broadcasts week. She asked, “How do you do that?” Lance replied (hopefully) joking, “If I told you then I’d have to kill you.”
-- He’s known as the self-proclaimed “Queen of All Media,” but when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has a party he gets two bands to perform in his honor. At the Prive nightclub at Planet Hollywood he relaxed to the music of both Ultraviolet Sound and Lady Gage. Former boy-band idol Donnie Wahlberg remained low-key while enjoying the party and sipping on his Grey Goose and Red Bull.
-- Television’s syndicated Access Hollywood show has been busy taping interviews at the Beatles Revolution lounge in The Mirage where Cirque du Soleil hosts its nightly Tapis Rouge red-carpet treatment for Love VIP audience members. Also taping was comedy ventriloquist impressionist Terry Fator, America’s Got Talent $1 million winner, who moves to the Mirage starting next Valentines Day and the always wild and crazy comedy actor Andy Dick.
-- Star Surveillance: Dancing with the Stars alumnae Shannon Elizabeth treated herself to a spray tanning by Sunset Tan’s top techie, Janelle Perry, at George Maloof’s Palms Place condo-tel … Music artist Too Short, NBA player Alan Anderson of the Charlotte Bobcats and comedian Lunelle were among the audience for Katt Williams’ comedy show at the Pearl In the Palms.
-- A lot of girls wanting a free breast augmentation showed up at the wacky Red White and Boobs celebration at the Torrid nightclub in the Hawaiian Tropic Zone at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile. Playboy cover model, Tiffany Holliday who hosted the event was one of the judges, along with Playboy cybergirl DJ Roxanne Dawn and Dr. Pancholi of Cosmetic Surgery of Las Vegas who will personally oversee the restructuring of the winner!
