Grammy award-winning hip-hop queen Missy Elliott celebrated her 37th birthday at the Tao nightclub in The Venetian. Wearing a stylish black and gold tracksuit from her Adidas Respect M.E. Originals collection and a chunky gold necklace to match, her birthday entourage included 25 of her closest friends, including her choreographer and dancers. First, they dined inside Tao’s Asian Bistro feasting on Chilean sea bass satay, Pad Thai noodles and lobster wontons. Missy was surprised when the attractive Tao servers presented her with a beautiful pink birthday cake adorned with fresh pink roses and sparklers. Although she said she loved roses, Missy passed them all out to her friends.
After they polished off the cake, Missy and her crew continued the celebration at their VIP table upstairs in the moat section of the nightclub. DJ Reach honored Missy by giving her a special birthday shout out and then spun an amazing 20-minute DJ set featuring all of Missy’s hit singles. The hip-hop queen ordered up Grey Goose and shots of Patron for her group, and she partied until the early hours of the morning.
Missy camped out at Tao once she arrived in town for her fun visit. First, she and her entourage took a luxurious private cabana at the TAO beach and ordered up burgers for all from the Beach Grill menu while enjoying the sounds of DJ Funke. Then for the second consecutive night they all hit the Tao Asian Bistro, ordering up wasabi-crusted filet mignon, fried chicken dumplings and vegetable spring rolls. Missy and her crew toasted again to the birthday with champagne and Tao-hitos. The celebration kept on going when the group returned upstairs to the nightclub, where they once again took a VIP table in the moat section.
