Strip Scribbles: Diaz & Co. find themselves in quite a Fix

* Blonde beauty and Hollywood's favorite "it" girl, Cameron Diaz, turned up unexpectedly with two other galpals at midnight craving supper at Fix at the Bellagio. They enjoyed an array of mixed vegetables, including a baby lettuce salad, grilled asparagus, mini potatoes and roasted mushrooms. The trio dined quickly and left after 45 minutes to hit the gaming tables at the Bellagio. No word yet as to why she was here on a surprise visit or whether she won or lost at the tables!
* With the prize pot standing at a whopping $65 million over the weekend in the World Series of Poker, it means come November, during the ESPN coverage, when the final nine sit down to play for a shot at the title the ultimate winner will walk home with the apparent top prize of nearly $10 million. Tonight we should know the identity of the final nine who will return to Vegas on Nov. 9-10 for the playoffs, with the winner being announced no later than the pre-dawn hours of Nov. 11.
* Rockers still love Love and The Beatles music. Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and Ryan Shuck from Orgy loved the Cirque du Soleil show at The Mirage. Along with their managers, producers and friends, the group went backstage to meet the cast after the show.
* International magician Hans Klok returned to Planet Hollywood but not to resume his illusions with co-star Pamela Anderson and their Beauty of Magic spectacular. Instead this time he was filming a documentary for Dutch TV inside the Miracle Mile Shops -- and yes he wound up with some sleight-of-hand magic, proving there was “something up his sleeves” after all.
Star Surveillance: Excalibur comedy headliner Louie Anderson lunched at Spago at the Forum Shops at Caesars … R&B star Morris Day of The Time checked out rapper Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club at the Palazzo enjoying his time in a VIP skybox …. Mindfreak magician Criss Angel and rock pal Sully Erna, the Godsmack singer, revved out to the Green Valley Ranch to watch Steel Panther and jumped onstage to join them for the AC/DC classic “Highway to Hell” to the delight of the audience that included members of Great White and Warrant … Actor Shemar Moore, music artist Rick Ross and their pal Charlie Murphy enjoyed the delights of the Blush boutique nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas, while Ed Hardy cutter Adam Sacks custom cut/slashed/tore T-shirts and other women’s outfits to create new custom clubwear, and Jason Taylor watched the “tailoring”… Local headliners Carrot Top and the Amazing Johnathan entertained former Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul and Static-X lead singer Wayne Static to a sushi, sashimi and sake feast at the Asian-themed Social House in TI. Also there, by coincidence on the patio were members of the rock group The Used” … Talk show host Montel Williams at starchef Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood inside Mandalay Bay enjoying sushi, lobster and crab tempura … For the next four-days chefs, restaurant owners and food experts from across America are invading Vegas for the American Culinary Federation’s National Convention. Some will battle in culinary cook-offs and others will check out the latest products in the culinary world.
