Images of 60s British music invasion on display

By Robin Leach

Ever wonder just what Mick Jagger looked like 50 years ago when he was a teenager breaking into rock? Or how The Beatles, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix and Ike and Tina Turner looked a half-century ago. They are all remarkably captured in a candid series of author-photographer Ian Wright’s new exhibit, Pop: Images of the British Invasion, which is on display at the Symbolic Gallery behind the Strip through the end of this month.

Rocker Spencer Davis of his own-named group joined Hard Rock Hotel curator Warwick Stone for the opening. Wright previously authored "On The Brink of Fame" and won the prestigious Spotlight Award from Black & White magazine. While in Vegas for The Fest for Beatles Fans at the Mirage, model-photographer Patti Boyd, who was married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton, stopped by the exhibit.
