Web site displays Strip’s winning, losing condo projects

One of the most comprehensive and up-to-date Web sites dealing with construction news, architectural renderings, and site maps along the Strip and downtown can be found at VegasTodayAndTomorrow.com.

The report says we're in the largest building boom that Vegas has ever seen but we're bloated with new projects. Apparently, more than 110 high-rise condo, hotel, mixed-use and other major projects are in various stages of planning, development and construction with "green" buildings making an entrance and many world-famous "starchitects" stepping up to the plate here. The site describes downtown as in the middle of an unprecedented metamorphosis into a sustainable modern urban city.

More than 2,000 photos on the site's 170 pages prove the extraordinary building boom -- but it also displays on a "dreams" page the ones that never got off the drawing board after the original renderings. In addition, there are videos along with facts and stats with little-known real estate trivia. It's definitely well worth a visit.
