The star merry-go-round of romance, marriage, divorce, possible reunion
By Robin Leach
One of the toughest fighters inside the octagon may have fallen hard! UFC superstar Chuck Liddell is said to have fallen "head over heels" for blond beauty Erin Wilson, who delivered the knockout punch! Now, inside word has it they have become engaged to be married later this year. The 28-year-old champion and former Boy Scout has two young daughters from a previous relationship: Cade and Trista. Chuck and Erin have been spotted all over Vegas in recent months, and now, always turn up together after UFC fights. They were last seen at the recent Studio 54 party at the MGM Grand that Chuck hosted. Congratulations from all of us at Luxe Life.
We’re also hearing word that regular Vegas headliner Paul Anka is marrying his long-time love, former Playboy model Anna Yaeger. At 37, she's almost 30 years younger than the Canadian-born superstar singer. Paul, who probably should be credited with owning one of the first Vegas nightclubs with his Hullabaloo disco-jamboree palace here in the early 80s, will apparently marry next weekend in Italy, where he is on a European tour. He is due to headline at the Orleans Hotel on Dec. 19. Paul has five daughters from his first marriage to Anne De Zogheb: Amelia, Anthea, Alicia, Alexander and Amanda, who is married to actor Jason Bateman. He and new wife-to-be Anne, who have been dating for several years, have a 2-year-old son, Ethan.
Finally on the romance front I hear that pop singer Pink is hoping that one day she and separated hubby Carey Hart will reunite. Although they split earlier this year after her European tour, our Vegas motocross champion still remains single -- but we do know he's been dating a topless cabaret dancer with the X-revue at the Flamingo. Friends say Pink refuses to believe he's gone for good. She's even kept his den exactly as it was before he left their Hollywood home and all of his awards and memorabilia still decorate the walls as if he still lived there! Carey officially hosts the locals opening of his new Wasted Space club at the Hard Rock hotel this evening. Visit Luxe Life on Friday for the full VIP celebrity rundown of guests attending Saturday's gala red-carpet, star-studded opening, including a return by new best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, and their boyfriends, Good Charlotte twin rockers Benji and Joel Madden, who are investors in Wasted Space.
The anti-club rock lounge, which is set to be the newest hot spot in Sin City after this weekend, is already playing host to music visitors just hanging out there enjoying the rock and roll scene. Members of the group Hoobastank and members of the British band Muse, including Matthew Bellamy, Danny Yeates, Dominic Howard and Christopher Wolstenholme, were celebrating Matt’s birthday before starting their South American tour. John Dolmayan, drummer of the group System of a Down, and UFC champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson also dropped by and "made it rain," throwing $500 in single dollar bills into the crazed crowd.
That was just hours before Jackson wound up being arrested by Costa Mesa police in California after a wild, out-of-control car chase yesterday. He drove on sidewalks -- scattering pedestrians -- and drove the wrong way on streets and road dividers before his front tire burst. Then he continued driving on its rim until police finally stopped him, made him hit the deck and handcuffed him. This morning, Jackson still remains in an Orange County hospital listed as "unfit to be charged."
