Mariah won’t carry a Vegas residency — yet
The music world went into Mariah Carey overdrive buzz at the end of last week and over the weekend. Internet websites were awash around the globe repeating and repeating the outrageous story that the pop-diva had accepted an offer to appear as a resident headliner at the Planet Hollywood casino resort. It would have meant she was joining the likes of Cher, Bette Midler and Elton John - and accordingly would have been the youngest singer with a new permanent home here on the Strip.
However Luxe Life can assure you all there is “ absolutely no truth" to the claims per Planet Hollywood CEO, Robert Earl who was said in the reports to have signed her to a $100-million three-year deal. While traveling he reached me in response to my queries and said “ Absolutely no truth”. He and I believe that the ridiculous rumors all began when she made a recent surprise post midnight appearance (PRIOR PHOTO) at the Prive nightclub at Planet Hollywood with new husband, Nick Cannon.
Sorry fans- no Mariah on a steady basis here in Vegas – at least yet! Maybe another 10-years when the touring gets worn and comes to a stop?
