Guitar great Slash continued his 43rd birthday celebration into a 2nd night of celebrating- and early this morning (Friday) he still showed no signs of slowing down.
First, he took 60 friends to see the Cirque du Soleil-Beatles show Love at The Mirage and that was followed by dinner at the Stack restaurant and bar also in the Mirage. He ordered Yellowtail Sashimi, Surf & Turf and Sea Bass for his party group.
Then at the midnight hour, the rock icon, formerly with Guns 'N Roses and now with Velvet Revolver, turned the nearby Jet nightclub into an all-star jam with Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains and Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine. Jerry, Tom and Slash teamed on the Pink Floyd classic "Wish You Were Here” as a trio, and every reveler in the nightclub joined in with a gigantic thousand-strong sing-along. As the last note played, yet another 6-foot-tall cake, complete with Slash's trademark top hat, from Jean Philippe Patisserie was carried onto the stage in a stream of sparklers.
As guest DJ Will.i.am then took over twisting the turntable and its wheels of steel for the remainder of the night and at 4 a.m. today, the party looked as if there was enough energy for a third night out on the town this evening! Luxe Life e will have the full photo wrap up of his 48-hour celebration early next week.
