Strip Scribbles: Bill Gates among celebs enjoying nightlife

By Robin Leach

*Billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates got to visit the Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles show, LOVE, for the first time -- and found himself near gorgeous actress Ali McGraw, who reunited with her former husband, Love Story producer Robert Evans, when they took their actor son, Josh Evans, to the show for their special occasion.

*Star Surveillance: For two consecutive days, Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria lunched with San Antonio Spurs husband Tony Parker at celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s Spago at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace … L.A. Lakers and Team USA star Kobe Bryant took his bodyguard along for dinner at Nove Italiano restaurant atop the Palms Fantasy Tower … Cast members of MTV’s Real World and Road Rules shows joined forces at Blush in the Wynn to celebrate Real World: Las Vegas alumni Frank Roessler’s birthday … Basketball star Shawn Marion enjoyed the Gilby Clarke show inside Wasted Space at the Hard Rock and then returned for a second consecutive night to Body English nightclub for the weekly Smashtime party… Rapper Too Short (Todd Shaw), actress Taryn Manning and CSI star Eric Szmanda all dined at separate tables at Strip House in Planet Hollywood … Antoine Walker, of the Memphis Grizzles, held court at Jay-Z and Beyonce’s 40/40 Club in the Palazzo. Other athletes there included boxers David Estrada and Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs; Cleveland Cavaliers player Joe Smith; retired Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic player Howard Wright -- plus Prince Abdul Al Saud, who is checking out all the Vegas hot spots. Maybe he’ll be the Strip’s next investor?
