A 67,000-square-foot medical marvel is now taking shape downtown –- and these brand new aerial photos show the incredible progress of Frank Gehry’s amazing architectural wonder. When completed the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute across from our World Market Center will become America’s top premier research and care facility for patients suffering from brain disease. Each year our Keep Memory Alive fundraising gala with star chefs and guest entertainers has raised awareness and financial support for the building.

World-renowned architect Gehry’s portfolio includes such projects as the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Guggenheim Museum in Balboa, Spain. Time magazine has named Gehry the world’s “greatest living architect.”

Gehry deftly manipulates space and materials to create stunning structures that captivate the imagination. His design of the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute has been nothing short of remarkable -- a masterpiece of architectural design, blending strong visual impact with superior efficiency in patient care. Gehry’s design of the institute will be the focal point of the new 61-acre Union Park development.

Keep Memory Alive, supporting the mission of the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, is a Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, ALS, and Memory Disorders. The Lou Ruvo Brain Institute will become a national resource for the most current research and scientific information for the treatment of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, ALS and memory disorders. Prevention, early detection, education, support, and discovery will be the cornerstones of the Institute.

The next annual gala fund-raising dinner is set for Feb. 7 – a week ahead of Valentine’s Day.
