Braxton cancels remainder of run at Flamingo Las Vegas

Singer Toni Braxton, acting on her doctors advice, has agreed tonight (Thursday) not to return as hoped on June 6 -- and as Luxe Life predicted earlier this week, she has thus canceled her remaining shows headlining at Flamingo Las Vegas.

Braxton was hospitalized almost three-months ago with heart-aggravated problems resulting from the birth of her second child, which endangered the walls of her heart. She will take time off from the stage to focus on her health, a Flamingo spokesperson said.

The production show Toni Braxton: Revealed that began at the Flamingo in August 2006 was scheduled to run through mid-August of this year. She had twice tried to return following her hospitalization only to have doctors warn her against too fast a comeback.

“Upon learning several weeks ago of Ms. Braxton’s health concerns, our first and foremost consideration was her well-being,” said Flamingo President Don Marrandino. “We have truly enjoyed having her as our resident headliner and continue to wish her a full and quick recovery so that she may resume doing what she loves best, entertaining audiences.”

Donny & Marie Osmond start their new run of shows there in early September, and meantime Morris Day & The Time will reunite for Flamingo shows later this month and again in late July into August as Luxe Life reported earlier this week.
