Millions of viewers will tune in tonight for the update on Julianne Hough’s post-surgery health report. The former Las Vegas Academy student underwent an operation last week after collapsing after dancing during the live broadcast of Dancing With the Stars the previous week. She was diagnosed by doctors as having endometriosis.

Julianne underwent surgery last Tuesday due to the condition. It’s described as an often-painful condition, found in as much as 10 percent of females, in which a uterine-lining tissue grows outside the uterus in the pelvis or abdomen on the surfaces of such organs as the appendix. Julianne also had her appendix removed during the operation.

Now, just 24 hours after Julianne’s treatment, fellow pro dancer Lacey Schwimmer learned from medics that she has the identical ailment. “A few days ago, I started feeling very shaky, very weak, and I had awful cramps .I didn’t really know what was going on,” she revealed. “I went to go get checked out today, and I actually have the beginning onset of what Julianne has. It hurts very badly. I’m insanely weak, and the room is spinning.”

Fortunately for Lacey, her doctors say they caught the problem at its early onset, and she will be able to control it with prescription drugs and without surgery. “I have medication that is taking care of it,” she said. “We caught it at a very good time.”

Lacey is partnered with Vegas regular Lance Bass, and they are now neck-and-neck with rivals Brooke Burke and pro dancer Derek Hough, Julianne’s brother. Lance and Lacey were encouraged to go off for a mini-working Halloween vacation to Disneyland’s Magic Kingdom in Florida. Dressed up in The Nightmare Before Christmas hat and scarf and a bat-inspired pair of Mickey Mouse ears, the twosome jumped for joy with the news that she wouldn’t have to undergo surgery.

In the meantime, our hometown heroine, 20-year-old Julianne, who is partnered with teen heartthrob actor Cody Linley, is at home in bed “recovering nicely, resting comfortably and doing great.” Although she’ll miss tonight’s live broadcast, she will definitely be back next Tuesday night and will perform her country music hit “My Hallelujah Song.” She commented: “I’m thinking about a week of recovery. Then although I won’t be dancing for two weeks, at least I will be able to work out with Cody.”

Lance and Lacey and Cody and temporary partner Edyta Sliwinska are in the group of remaining couples going into yet another elimination round tonight. Vegas betting lines predict that daytime soap opera actress Susan Lucci of All My Children is in danger of being axed with the lowest scores. Luxe Life will have the first Morning Call photos and the judges vote here early tomorrow.
