Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his "Straight Talk Express" landed at the Henderson Pavilion last night, just hours before voting got underway across the nation. Trailing in the national polls, McCain stated, “I am an American and I never give up.” VegasDeluxe contributing photographers Tom Donoghue and Erik Kabik were on duty for this extraordinary gallery of historic photos. For the entire time that Sen. McCain spoke, the crowd was on its feet. Rep. Jon Porter, running against Democratic challenger Dina Titus, estimated it was 11,000 strong. Kabik commented: “It was very spirited, and of all the rallies I have attended this was definitely the loudest one.”

After wrapping his final "Road to Victory” campaign in Vegas, McCain set off for his Phoenix home where he will vote -- and then watch the election results.
